This year, Jazz In A Can is also a charity fundraising event for Eden school, a vocational school of choice for students with autism. So, lend them your support and join us for an afternoon of great music!

Transient Reminiscences 2011

This year's concert will take us on a captivating journey to other parts of the world, by evocating different styles.

Innovative techniques such as modifying the style of opera singing, as well as pieces featuring the bowed strings and woodwind sections form the highlights of the performance. Led by resident conductor Mr. Ng Seng Hong, showpieces of the night include a Dizi concerto titled "Going to the Western Gate" as well as the idyllic "Sketches of the Northern People's Life".

Impresario is a nationwide talent-search competition organised annually by the Cultural Activities Club. Since its founding in 1992, Impresario has gained national recognition in its efforts to be one of the main avenues for the emergence of local talents. Notable alumnus include Huang Jing Lun and Kelly Poon amongst other artistes.

The competition sees a 1,000 strong audience each year and boasts guest appearances by celebrities and famous judges such as Angela Zhang, Joi Chua, Derrick Hoh, Lee Wei Song and Xu Huan Liang!

Melodies of the Heart is the ensemble's first charity concert. Beneficiaries include the Regular Service Project for the Hearing Impaired (RSPHI) and Camp OutReach (COR) from NTU Welfare Services Club (WSC).

Highlights of the night include duets and two piano pieces featuring a Piano Trio and an eight-hand piece. Guest performers include local pianist Azariah Tan as well as a hand-signing performance by WSC members.
