The Nanyang Technological University Chinese Society is proud to present Chinese Tea Culture in February 2010.

Chinese tea is one of the most well-known aspects of Chinese traditional culture; its history can be traced back two thousand years, and now it is becoming fashionable to drink Chinese tea in many parts of the world. Chinese tea is becoming the 21st century’s king of drinks.

In Singapore, Chinese tea is popular among both old and young people, and at dusk, teahouses are often crowded with Chinese tea lovers. The culture of Chinese tea has become more and more attractive to Singaporeans, especially to the younger generations.

In order to promote Chinese tea and traditional Chinese culture, the “Chinese Tea Appreciation Exhibition” event will be held at Canopy K from 3 Feb 2010 to 4 Feb 2010. Each stall will have a specific topic to educate visitors, and tell stories about Chinese tea through varied and colorful pictures. Most importantly, the visitors will be able to taste various kinds of Chinese tea at each pavilion: green tea, black tea and oolong tea, etc, brewed by members from the Chinese Tea Appreciation Society.

Through this event, visitors and participatns will definitely have a deeper understanding of Chinese tea culture.
